There's nothing here as impressive as what we got in the Spring collection -- it's going to take a lot to top Ambassador in Pink -- but there are definitely some cute new dolls. Most notable to me are the two new 'fantasy'-themed lines premiering this season, Mrs. Claus and Santa's Elves and Cinderella. The elves are especially sweet; they share the same body as 8" Tiny Betsy McCall, feature an all new face sculpt with wee pointed ears, and two of the girls have the crazy hair colors I love (one pink, another with blue). All the dolls and outfits for Cinderella and her Wicked Stepsisters are gorgeous (although is it my imagination, or does Prince Charming look just a bit too much like Raoul in the Phantom movie? Hmmmmmmmmm?) At any rate, it's not likely I'll be buying any of these. They're just too expensive. The little elves alone are $70 each, and with Mrs. Claus and the ![]() | ![]() Cinderella girls, by the time you get the basic doll and one outfit (and as always with Tonner, the outfits cost more than the dolls themselves), well, your most of the way to price of a small BJD. It's just not worth it. I'll be checking Happily in the next few days to see if their preorder prices are more reasonable. If so I might consider the pink elf, but honestly...meh. The few orders I have put in recently will almost certainly get canceled. This business with the Coco has put me even more off collecting than I was before. |

I wonder if they will make a wicked stepmother? Eh? EH? That would be interesting!
I wouldn't be at all surprised if she did turn up later--this company has already done the Wicked Witch of the West, the Queen of Hearts, and Endora from Bewitched.
may i ask, where do you usually preorder your tonner dolls from? i've only bought off ebay so far but i'd like to try and preorder the little candy elf. XD
